Abstract

As one of the first excavations of a hillfort in the Scottish Borders, this excavation aimed to discover some of the culture and priorities of the Iron Age and Roman inhabitants. Four phases of habitation were identified, although not all of them could be conclusively dated. The article includes a catalogue of finds organised according to which of the four phases the item is related to.
