Abstract

This article covers the early Irish missoinaries and saints who had churches dedicated to them along the river Deveron in Moray. The author then goes on to discuss the recent finds and excavations in the area that have revealed some of the material culture of the early inhabitants. He ends the article by noting that there is a lack of stones carved with symbols along the banks of the Deveron, in contrast to other parts of Aberdeenshire.
