Abstract


A history of Cluny and the Crichton family's landholdings there. The author focuses on the lives of Richard Crichton, a bishop in Cluny, and his son James Crichton, a notable knight who was killed in Mantua. He also discusses some portraits of the the younger Crichton and their potential accurcacy.
