On the locality of the abduction of Queen Mary

Robert Chambers challenges the view of historians that argue Mary Queen of Scots was abducted from Fountainbridge in Edinburgh in 1567. Using contemporary sources, place-name evidence and geographical arguments, Chambers suggests that a more likely place for the abduction to have taken place was somewhere along the river Almond.
