Notices of the Burial of King Malcolm III. in the Monastery at Tynemouth in 1093, and of the subsequent history of his remains

Abstract

This article discusses the various sources that have information about the death of Malcolm III and his son Edward, as well as their initial burial at Tynemouth. There is also some discussion of the circumstances under which the king's body was moved to Dunfermline to be buried alongside his wife, St Margaret.
