SAIR is an Open Access series of excavation reports and large-scale surveys conducted in Scotland
About the series
SAIR was established by a consortium of heritage organisations including the Society, Historic Environment Scotland and the Council for British Archaeology in 2000. The purpose of the series is to publish fully peer-reviewed accounts of new research in Scotland’s archaeological heritage.
SAIR is an Open Access series accepting submissions that are more than 10,000 words long. All SAIR projects must come with external funding to cover the cost of making the reports freely available. Please see the submission guidelines for further details.
Information on the peer review process, Open Access, copyright permissions, book reviews and digital archiving can be found on the series policies page.
