Abstract
The usual business was conducted at the Anniversary meeting, including the election of new Fellows and the presentation of a list of deceased Fellows. Other reports presented included:
A report on the number of Fellows on the Society’s Roll
A report on the progress of the Society’s forthcoming publications
Reports into excavations undertaken by the Society during the previous session
A report on the number of items added to the Society’s museum
A note on changes in the Society’s Council, specifically the retirement of the Museum Curator Joseph Anderson and the President Sir Herbert Maxwell
A note on the Rhind Lectureship from the previous session
Dr Hay Fleming then raised the issue of whether the Society’s museum should be open to the public on Sundays. The decision on this topic was postponed until 15th December. On this date, a vote was taken and when Dr Hay Fleming’s motion was voted down, he raised a Dissent and Protest (see pp.431-432).
The Treasurer presented the Annual Report and a resolution was read thanking Sir Herbert Maxwell.
Meeting notes for 8 December, 1913 are appended.
