Abstract

The paper analyses the evidence that James III was buried at Cambuskenneth Abbey alongside his Queen, Margaret of Denmark. There follows a post-script explaining the significance of Sir James Alexander's excavations (see pp.14-25) and the monument placed over the site in 1865 to mark the royal burials.
