Abstract

The main chamber and two secondary cists were excavated by Canon Greenwell in 1864. This report provides a detailed description of the surviving remains and their condition, alongside illustrations by Mr R Dickinson. Although, the cairn has been badly denuded, Crichton Mitchell highlights its importance as an interesting example of Neolithic burial in Scotland.
