Abstract

Report on excavations at Dunadd fort including a midden. The site had been much disturbed by earlier investigations. Plentiful artefacts included a silver ring, a bronze disc, spearheads, knives, shears, beads, jet armlets, hammerstones and quern stones. Some of the artefacts suggest occupation in the Iron Age. Limited excavation also took place at 11 cists and cairns in the vicinity.
