Abstract


The article begins with a brief biography of the architect of Rosslyn Chapel, Sir William St Clair. The author discusses how foreign workers influenced the architectural style of the chapel, but emphasises that the work of Scottish masons is also notable. He highlights some of the chapel's functional features and describes the significance of the decorative features. The burials within the chapel are also discussed.
