Abstract


The author discusses three stone slabs from Kirkmadrine, which show some early Christian inscriptions. Having found two at the entrance to the graveyard in Kirkmadrine, he eventually discovers a drawing of the third. The article quotes from several secondary sources, all of which emphasise the stones’ importance to the study of early Christianity in Britain. He concludes by discussing several other historical sites nearby.
