Abstract
At the Anniversary Meeting the usual Society business was concluded including a report on the visitors to the Society's museum and how the collections expanded over the year. Three Honorary Members were elected including the Prince of Wales, Albert Edward, to replace his father Prince Albert, the Prince Consort.
Notice of a Conversazione held 8 December, 1862 is appended. One of the Secretaries David Laing read a communication titled ‘Edinburgh in early times, with illustrations’.
Meeting notes for 12 January, 1863 are appended.
