Abstract

This article covers the arguments and conclusions of Alexander Henry Rhind's presentation about the creation and use of iron in Egypt. He provided evidence that the Egyptian pharaohs were buried with iron objects and suggested that they had the ability to create these items themselves, rather than importing them from elsewhere. However, he declined to offer a timeframe for when they might have begun using iron instead of bronze.
