Abstract

Two stone coffins were discovered beneath the nave of the Abbey Church of Dunfermline in 1849. The materials used in the coffin and their placement suggests to the author that these coffins may have contained the bodies of the two eldest sons of King Malcolm III and Saint Margaret.
