Abstract

Sir James Steuart Denham, Baronet, was the son of Sir James Steuart of Goodtrees, Bart. Sollicitor General for Scotland, by Anna, daughter of Sir Hugh Dalrymple, Bart. Lord President of the College of Justice in Scotland, who was the third son of the illustrious and learned Lord Viscount of Stair.
