These included the bases of four furnaces, five heating stoves, an engine house, a boiler house and several underground flues together with numerous ancillary structures and features and elements of a chemical recovery plant. Although most of the excavated remains were associated with various stages of remodelling and upgrading, a significant number appeared to date from the early years of the works. ER -
