Abstract

Final report on excavations of the stone-built Neolithic settlement. Work focussed on areas south and west of the 'Market Place', middens, drains and huts, some of which had been deliberately abandoned. The phases of occupation are considered in detail. Finds included decorated pottery, celts, hammerstones and a variety of stone tools. Two intrusive cist burials were discovered. Includes detailed reports on animal bones and human remains.
