Abstract


Stuart Piggott, who died in September 1996, was an archaeologist with a broad range of interests from the Neolithic to the Iron Age in Scotland and across Europe. His achievements have been acknowledged by both his peers and the various archaeological institutions that he was involved in, including the Society.
